Whilst reading our class text, we have really enjoyed using our drama skills and acting out sections of the book to deepen our understanding. Beegu has also been leaving us some little surprises in our classroom!!!

Beegu Sculptures

Our topic leaning has been linked to our class text this term and we have really enjoyed developing our art skills with Mrs Love. This term we have focussed on sketching and sculpture.

Because we thought Beegu might feel lonely on our planet, we decided to make her some friends and write some very unique character descriptions...

Jigsaw - Our new PSHCE scheme

The children have had a great time getting to know Jigsaw Jo and the mindfulness approaches during our circle time. We find it a positive and useful time within our week, were we all have a chance to share our views and feelings and learn from each other as individuals.

Children in Need

Harvest Festival...

In September, we had a very exciting visit from the mobile planetarium. We went inside, explored the Solar System and wrote some fantastic recounts of our experiences.

Science - Everyday Materials

Firstly, in science, we examined everyday materials - by both identifying items and what they are made from, and sorting them according to their properties. Then we looked at their possible uses and how they can be changed. Next, we explored the importance of scientists making new materials and how this has changed how we live over time. Finally, we used our knowledge to design and create a new rocket for Beegu, to help her get home. We even contacted NASA for special permission to hold our own rocket testing event!

Christmas Performance - The Disgruntled Snowman - coming soon...
