Class Council Representative Elections
During the transition day, the children spent time in their new classrooms thinking about whether they would like to represent their new class at Thrunscoe Academy Council. To become a candidate, the children had to produce a manifesto and present to their class why they thought they should be elected and what they would offer and how they would represent their classmates next year.
On election day, the children went to vote using the official equipment, kindly loaned to us from the local council. Private voting and carefully monitored counting of the votes took place and the successful candidates from each class were announced during the end of year assembly.
