Autumn Term: Friends, Romans and Countrymen

Our first topic in Rowan is 'Friends, Romans and Countrymen'. We began our topic by visiting Lincoln Castle for a Roman themed day. We had the opportunity to dress up as Roman soldiers, explore the castle walls, create Roman shields, take part in an archaeological dig and handle a range of Roman artefacts. Our classroom is developing to incorporate lots of exciting aspects of our topic.

Our Visit to Lincoln Castle

We had a wonderful time learning all about Diwali. We had a dance workshop which gave us the opportunity to tell the story of Diwali through dance.

Costa Foundation

We enjoyed taking part in the Costa Foundation water challenge. We worked in pairs to carry buckets of water around an obstacle course.

Children In Need

We had a great time raising money for Children in Need.
