Heroes and Villains

As part of our topic learning, we have really enjoyed designing our own Superhero symbols, masks and capes this term.

Heroes and Villains Day

We had a special day were we all dressed as our favourite heroes and villains. We completed three activites: Super Skills - we practised our physical skills, Superhero Pop Art - we got creative with highlighters making posters and Super Sandwiches - we made sanwiches and imagined what power we would gain from our chosen fillings.

We even had a surprise visit from a real Superhero...

Class Text - Traction Man is Here!

Traction Man is an extraordinary hero who always saves the day. In Willow Class we have especially enjoyed using this text to develop our descriptive vocabulary and influence our writing. We had a great time acting out the story, with the children taking on the roles of the story characters and using these experiences to infer their thoughts and feelings.

In December, every child made a Christingle of thier own and we had a special KS1 assembly. We lit the candles, explored the meaning of Christingle and sang some nativity songs.
