Heroes and Villains!

We love this topic! It is great exploring heroes and villains and becoming them ourselves!

English - Superheroes, Villains and Traction Man!

Our writing has been inspired by many pictures of heroes and villains. We have been reading the story Traction Man written by Mini Grey which has also helped us to become super writers just like her. We have been using our drama skills to role play characters and we are making our own story boxes.

Maths!

We have been building from the foundations up starting with place value, counting, comparing and ordering numbers. Once we are confident with this we begin exploring addition and subtraction. We always investigate problems by talking to each other and figuring out the answer. Those reasoning problems can be tricky!

Royal Readers

Here are some of our Royal Readers who are reading at home three times a week or more! These pupils and their hard work is recognised and appreciated. Keep up the dedication to improve because it is making a difference!

Foundation Subjects - Art, Music, History, RE, Computing and much more!

We make sure Cedar class have a balanced curriculum and Miss Shires and Mrs Smith create fantastic learning opportunites for these pupils every week. They have built their own 'Tracy Islands', learnt dances from different cultures, tasted food from different parts of the world, role played a christening and much more!

Roald Dahl Day!

What a great day for everyone as we learned about Roald Dahl and dressed up as some of his best loved characters.

Harvest Festival

We performed a song called 'I am a Weed' which has a very funny surprise for all. This was definitely a performance to remember.

Firework Safety

It is always important to learn about how to have fun but stay safe!

Water Challenge! Raising money for the Costa Foundation

We were pleased to contribute to such a worthy cause.

Drumming with Status Quo!

What a treat this was! Our pupils joined in with percussion instruments and one of our Cedar pupils had a go on the drums.
