We have already done a great deal.  In Maths we have looked at number order, counting and number recognition.  In Literacy we have looked at the alphabet, learnt some sounds , begun to blend them together to make words.  We have started reading and writing.

Our topic has been 'ourselves' and we have looked at our bodies, done an eye colour survey, we have talked about babies and what they need to be healthy.  We have talked about food and exercise.

We have talked about the Jewish festival of Rosh Hashanah and found out that honey plays a big part in the celebrations - so we tasted honey on toast, we learnt that Jewish people say Shalom when they greet each other and that they pray in a synagogue.

We have also learnt how to say hello in French.

As well as many literacy and numeracy activities we have spent a great deal of time doing activities about 'Harvest'.  We have made scarecrows, we have sung songs about scarecrows and have made pizza's.

We continued with improving our phonic learning and our maths skills.  We worked hard on our listening skills so we could follow instructions and we tried to work as a team.

And it snowed!!!!

December brought lots of Christmas activities.  We took part in arts and crafts and sang "When Santa got stuck up the chimney" in the FS/KS1 concert.
