The Wellbeing Mentors
Kerry Allen Patricia Taylor
A Wellbeing Mentor is someone who has been trained to provide help, advice and support on all issues affecting you or your child. It is a varied role, which tries to ensure a happy progression through school by working with families. It may not always be possible to find an immediate solution but the we will endeavour to obtain information and offer support.
One way in which we support pupils and parents is by offerring a 10 week Parenting/Nurturing Programme, which offers strategies for both parents and children to deal with everyday issues surrounding family life. Along side this we also hold Fun and Games groups which help some pupils to deal with any social and emotional issues they may have.
Every Monday afternoon between 2pm and 3.15pm we have a knitting club for all our parents, for chat, coffee and of course knitting!
We are also involved with fundraising events such as the Summer Fair and the Christmas Bazaar.
We can be found in the Wellbeing Room next to the Headteachers Office. We look forward to welcoming you. No appointment necessary.
